Fuel Surcharge
In January 2007 Supreme found it necessary to make provision for a fuel
surcharge on its deliveries. While the majority of transactions are not subject to
an actual delivery charge, the fuel surcharge is in place to offset the
higher cost of providing delivery service due to the increase in operating
costs triggered by the increased price of fuel.
The surcharge is tied to the pump price of regular unleaded gas as reported
by MJ Ervin and Associates. With our primary deliver markets being in
Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, our level of surcharge will be
determined by the lowest average weekly price for Calgary, Edmonton, Regina,
Saskatoon and Winnipeg. The surcharge for the next month will be evaluated
on the 15th of the month for the two prior weeks in the month.
The surcharge will not be applied to orders of more than $250.00 and it will
not be applied to backorders or transactions that are due to corrections on
a previous order. The surcharge will appear as a separate line item on the
invoice.
